BIBLE WEAPONS FOR WAR AND PEACE

Exhibit

As is true of Israel today, every Israelite in the Old Testament time was trained to be a warrior to defend his home, town and nation from Godless conquers.

Throughout history we see, not only in the Bible, but in the world around us that there are certain nations and leaders who want to control and dominate the whole world. This has been going on since the time in Genesis 10:10 and Gen.11 when Nimrod built the Tower of Babel to dominate and control the world.

God tells us as Christians to live a quiet and peaceful life striving to get along with all people. 1 Timothy 2:2. However sometimes people, including Christians, have to rise up in arms to protect their freedoms from power crazy dictators who defy God‘s word and His plan for the nations. We saw this example in World War II. We are seeing that happening again today in several nations dictators want to control.

God has ordained that we protect our families, our homes, towns or nation. Luke 12:39 Jesus said “But understand this: If the homeowner had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into.” Esther 8:11-12 ESV The king allowed the Jews who were in every city to gather and defend their lives.
